Sometimes
the 1x is used in the store. All clothing at our store is
meant to fit an 18w or over unless otherwise specified.
Some manufacturers make it impossible to fit the scale to
an average. Please note:
A 1x will fit the 18w person and occasionally the 20w person.
Individual variations always happen, bigger hips, smaller
shoulders, short or long waisted, just let us know. (When
the company gives us a 1x, 2x, 3x to fit up to the 3x =
24w woman, their scale has been used. We will try to make
the notes more noticeable in the future.)
A & B = This is your bra size. Measure around the chest,
just under the arms and above the breast. If it is an odd
number, add 1". Double check your bra size by measuring
around your ribs, just below your bust, and adding 3". For
example, if you measure 39", your bra size is 42. If bra
size is an odd number, round up to the next even number.
Cup size - Measure around the fullest point of
bust, keeping the tape level without pulling tight. The
difference between measurements A & B equals cup size.
Difference 1"= A, 2" = B, 3"= C, 4"= D, 5" = DD, 6" = DDD/E,7" = F, 8" = FF, 9" = G, 10" = H
B = To measure your bust size, measure under the arms,
around the fullest part of chest.
C = Waist - measure around the
natural waistline.
Rise = waist back to center.
Petite women’s sizes are shorter in the buttocks and stomach
rise, shoulder area, and have a shorter bust to waist length.
The rise is more important in considering the garment ordered.
Some women can be short with an average proportion or tall
with a petite proportion. We have certain manufacturers
who are especially good for the taller women. Present customers
include 6’4".
